Israel DMW, the logistic manager for singer Davido, took to his Instagram story to express unwavering support for his boss following his lack of success at the Grammy Awards.
Despite Davido failing to secure any wins in the three categories he was nominated for, Israel DMW affirmed Davido’s talent and status, declaring, “Grammy or No Grammy, oga remains the best.”
Davido had been optimistic about his chances of winning his first Grammy, receiving nominations in categories such as Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Global Album Performance.
However, despite his hopes, Davido did not emerge victorious in any of the categories. Instead, ‘Water’ by Tyla won Best African Music, ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain featuring Rakesh Chaurasia secured Best Global Music Performance, and ‘The Moment’ by Shakti clinched Best Global Album.
