Chimsom Chuka has emerged as the first Head of House of Big Brother Naija Season 11 after winning the season’s opening Head of House challenge.
The victory earned Chuka immunity from eviction and the title of the first Head of House of the new season.
However, Big Brother introduced a major twist to the traditional Head of House privileges, with the winner no longer automatically gaining access to the Head of House Loft.
Instead, Biggie introduced the Lucky Dip Box, requiring the Head of House to randomly select the name of another housemate who would become the official occupant of the Head of House Loft.
The selected housemate is then allowed to invite one other housemate to share the loft, although the Head of House cannot be selected as a loft mate.
Following the Lucky Dip selection, Tram was chosen as the occupant of the Head of House Loft. Tram subsequently selected Sheba to join him in the loft.
Meanwhile, the house was thrown into another twist after the first round of nominations.
The housemates nominated one another as part of the usual nomination process, with Ricky, Bellz, Nomy, Cassi, Oyin, Sultex, Godessa and Aikou among those who received multiple nominations.
However, Biggie revealed that the nominations would not lead to an eviction this week.
Instead, the season’s first nomination session has been designated as a fake nomination week, giving viewers the opportunity to influence a new development in the game.
The development is tied to the introduction of The Gambit, one of the major twists of BBNaija Season 11.
Rather than voting to evict housemates, viewers will vote to select one male and one female housemate who will become The Gambits.
The two selected housemates will remain in the Big Brother house until the end of the season and continue participating in weekly tasks, house activities and challenges.
They will also remain eligible for rewards and sponsored prizes throughout the competition.
However, The Gambits will not be eligible to win the grand prize at the end of BBNaija Season 11.
The new twist introduces an additional strategic dimension to the competition, allowing viewers to determine which two housemates will remain in the house under the special Gambit status.
With Chimsom Chuka becoming the first Head of House, an unexpected loft arrangement, fake nominations and the introduction of The Gambit, BBNaija Season 11 has begun with several changes to the traditional format.
Voting is now open for fans to select one male and one female housemate to become the first Gambits of the season.
