Big Brother Naija has entered its eleventh season with the largest prize package in its history, as organisers seek to build on nearly two decades of the reality show’s growth into one of Africa’s biggest television franchises.
This year’s winner will receive ₦100 million in cash along with a brand-new sport utility vehicle, bringing the total grand prize to ₦160 million. The figure surpasses the ₦150 million package awarded to Opeyemi “Imisi” Ayanwale, who won Season 10 in October 2025 after defeating 28 other contestants.
Organisers say the increase reflects the show’s continued commercial growth, with this year’s edition backed by sponsors including betPawa as headline sponsor, Guinness as Gold Sponsor and Minimie as an Associate Sponsor.
Speaking ahead of the launch, MultiChoice’s Executive Head of Content and Channels for West Africa, Atinuke Babatunde, said the new season would build on the franchise’s legacy with bigger surprises for viewers.
Since its debut in 2006, BBNaija has evolved from a straightforward reality competition into a launchpad for careers in Nollywood, music, fashion, corporate branding and digital content creation, with several former housemates going on to build prominent public profiles after their seasons ended.
Season 11 introduced 24 new housemates on Sunday, who will spend about ten weeks competing for the record prize, with the grand finale expected in early October.
