Fulham Welcomes Back Nigerian Duo Iwobi and Bassey to Training

Date:

Premier League outfit Fulham has confirmed the return of its Nigerian duo, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, to the club’s training sessions.

Both Iwobi and Bassey recently represented Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament. Following their international duties, they have now resumed training with Fulham.

The club shared images of Iwobi and Bassey participating in training on Thursday, accompanied by a brief message: “Our Super Eagles are back.”

Prior to their return, the two players last featured for Fulham in a match against Arsenal on December 31.

During the 2023 AFCON finals, Iwobi and Bassey played pivotal roles for the Nigerian national team, which secured a second-place finish. They contributed significantly throughout Nigeria’s seven matches in the tournament.

Fulham is gearing up to face Aston Villa in an upcoming Premier League encounter scheduled for Saturday.
