In a fortunate turn of events for the Super Eagles squad, Moses Simon, Ola Aina, and Calvin Bassey have avoided suspension for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations final against Ivory Coast.
Despite walking a disciplinary tightrope during the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday, none of the trio received bookings, ensuring their availability for Sunday’s crucial match.
The news comes as a relief for Nigeria, especially considering the impressive performances of Bassey and Aina throughout the tournament.
Their presence will undoubtedly bolster the team’s lineup for the final showdown.
In addition to the disciplinary reprieve, there was a significant injury boost for head coach Jose Peseiro, as Zaidu Sanusi participated in light training on Thursday, hinting at his potential availability for the final match.
