Prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have expressed frustration over difficulties accessing the NYSC registration portal, with some graduates in Abuja blaming persistent network problems for their inability to complete the process.
The affected graduates, who spoke to our reporter, said repeated attempts to access the portal had been unsuccessful, leaving them uncertain about completing their registration before the expiration of the exercise.
According to them, the network difficulties have prevented some eligible graduates from either commencing or completing their online registration.
The situation has raised concerns among prospective corps members, particularly those who were still trying to register as the reported September 13, 2026 deadline approached.
The graduates said the challenge was not a lack of willingness to participate in the national service programme but their inability to access the online platform through which registration is being conducted.
They appealed to the relevant authorities to urgently investigate and resolve the connectivity issues affecting the portal to enable all eligible graduates to complete their registration.
The affected graduates also called on the NYSC to consider extending the registration deadline, arguing that additional time would ensure that eligible graduates are not denied the opportunity to participate in the scheme because of technical or connectivity challenges.
As of press time, efforts by our reporter to reach the NYSC authorities for comments or clarification on the development were unsuccessful.
