The Federal Government has engaged in discussions with the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Nigeria, Salem Saeed Alshamsi, and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, seeking support for its school feeding program.
The Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on School Feeding, Dr. Yetunde Adeniji, revealed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday.
The discussions took place during the 52nd United Arab Emirates National Day celebration held in Abuja on Monday. Adeniji’s delegation met with the UAE ambassador and Governor Uba Sani, where both expressed their willingness to provide total support for the humanitarian cause championed by the Federal Government.
The statement highlighted the positive response from the Kaduna State Government, with Governor Uba Sani pledging full assistance to the school feeding program. According to Adeniji, the governor takes pride in the initiative, considering Kaduna as one of the best states designated for such a program. The state aims to maintain its status as a leader in line with the Federal Government’s school feeding program.
The UAE Ambassador, Salem Saeed Alshamsi, also commended the school feeding program and praised the administration led by President Bola Tinubu for its efforts to address various challenges facing the country. Both the governor and the ambassador expressed their support for the program, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in tackling societal issues.
