In response to a viral TikTok video suggesting the recent demolition of a plaza on Lobito Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has vehemently refuted the claims.
Anthony Ogunleye, Director of Press in the Office of the Minister, clarified that the video is dated back to 2021 and that the building in question was not demolished.
Instead, measures were taken to address a use-related infraction, and a portion of the building was removed to ensure compliance with regulations.
Ogunleye condemned the spread of false information and emphasized the FCTA’s commitment to transparent communication and responsible governance.
The administration urged the public to verify information from reliable sources before dissemination.
