Nigerian singer Mercy Isoyip, popularly known as Descushiel, has issued an apology to Nigerians and the Nigeria Police Force after reciting the national anthem incorrectly during a conference for senior police officers in Imo State.
In the viral video, Descushiel, who was dressed in a police uniform, made a mistake while reciting the national anthem, leading to widespread criticism on social media.
In an Instagram video, Descushiel acknowledged her error and apologized to the public. She expressed her deep regret over the mistake and assured everyone that she would be more careful in the future to avoid such incidents.
The video was captioned, “I sincerely apologize for the error I made during the recital of the National Anthem. I know such errors are inexcusable. My good people of our country, please accept my apology, as well as my assurance that I will be more careful in the future to prevent such incidents from recurring. God bless the Nigeria Police Force. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
