Tottenham Hotspur Target Ademola Lookman Amid Transfer Deadline Pressure

Date:

Tottenham Hotspur are intensifying their efforts to secure Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta BC before the summer transfer window closes on September 1, 2025.

The club is seeking to bolster their attacking options following a failed pursuit of winger Savinho, whose potential move was blocked by Manchester City. Spurs have now identified Lookman as a viable alternative to strengthen their forward line ahead of the new season.

Lookman, who scored 20 goals for Atalanta last season, has expressed frustration with his current situation and a desire to leave the club. A previous move to Inter Milan was blocked when Atalanta rejected a £38 million bid, citing complications in securing a replacement. With Tottenham now showing serious interest, Atalanta is reportedly open to negotiations, valuing the 27-year-old at approximately €50 million.

The pursuit of Lookman is being led by Tottenham consultant Fabio Paratici, who is expected to return to the club full-time following the closure of the transfer window. The club is eager to finalize a deal swiftly, aiming to add depth and attacking versatility to their squad.

As the transfer deadline approaches, Tottenham are exploring all options to strengthen their squad, with Lookman emerging as a central figure in their plans to remain competitive in domestic and European competitions.
