As Nigeria commemorates its 65th Independence Anniversary, Honourable Femi Olaniyi Ferrari, the Chairman of Chairmen of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has called on leaders at all levels to prioritize security, peace, and good governance as the essential foundation for national progress.
In a personal statement issued in Abuja, Ferrari paid tribute to the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers, noting that their legacy remains a source of hope. He emphasized that the current challenges facing the nation must be tackled through democratic means, underscoring the principles of good governance, transparency, and accountability.
He called for urgent action to address the insecurity ravaging communities across the country, stating that the safety of ordinary Nigerians must be placed above all else. Ferrari also highlighted the need to harness the nation’s collective potential to make meaningful investments in critical sectors like education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Emphasizing the importance of unity in diversity, he advocated for a Nigeria where every citizen has equal access to opportunities, justice, and fairness.
