Over 300,000 registered artisans across Ondo State have officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re‑election in the 2027 general elections.
The coalition includes members from the Licensed Electrical Contractors Association of Nigeria (LECAN), the Nigerian Union of Tailors (NUT), the Association of Nigeria Artisans and Technicians (ASNAT), and the Real Estate Managers (REM) in Ondo State.
During their visit to the Asiwaju Mandate Group in Akure, Comrade Daisi Komolafe, speaking on behalf of the artisans, affirmed their commitment to Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, citing the administration’s focus on economic empowerment programs benefiting the informal sector. He also commended Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji‑Ojo for initiatives under Tinubu that have elevated Nigeria’s profile.
Komolafe emphasized the artisans’ unwavering conviction to support Tinubu, stating, “So, our conviction to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is unshakable. What we are witnessing today in terms of transformation and restoration of hope is second to none.”
He revealed that the artisan movement represents over 367,000 supporters across Ondo State and pledged to extend their outreach beyond the state. To strengthen grassroots mobilization, coordinators have been assigned to each of the three senatorial districts: Prince Oyesola (North), Comrade Ife Morgan (Central), and Mr. Ismaila Akorede (South).
Komolafe also commended President Tinubu for strategically positioning indigenes of Ondo in key roles, including the appointment of Adesina Akinyemi as National Coordinator of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF). He stressed that their support is backed by a solid grassroots base.
Muyiwa Asagunla, Director General of the Asiwaju Mandate Group, expressed gratitude to the artisan coalition, noting that the movement in Ondo State was initiated by Tunji‑Ojo as part of efforts to promote Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
