The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has extended congratulations to Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State following the Supreme Court’s judgment affirming his victory in the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial election.
The party expressed satisfaction with the court’s decision, considering it a victory for democracy and a confirmation of the will of the people of Akwa Ibom State.
Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, conveyed the party’s reaction, emphasizing the spontaneous jubilation observed across Akwa Ibom State upon hearing the news of the Supreme Court’s judgment.
Ologunagba praised Governor Eno as a humble, compassionate, and visionary leader with extensive managerial skills acquired from both the private and public sectors.
The PDP highlighted Governor Eno’s achievements in citizen empowerment programs and projects across critical sectors, including agriculture, education, healthcare, security, housing, road infrastructure, manufacturing, commerce, and aviation.
The party urged the governor to remain steadfast in building on the legacies of his predecessor and delivering people-oriented ARISE Agenda programs and projects in line with the PDP’s policy thrust and manifesto.
