NIMC Successfully Clears Over Two Million Backlogged NIN Modification Requests

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced the successful clearance of a backlog comprising more than two million National Identification Number (NIN) modification requests.

The NIMC’s Acting Director-General, Engineer Abisoye Coker-Odusote, confirmed this accomplishment, highlighting the commission’s commitment to providing all Nigerians with secure and universally recognized identity documentation.

In a statement, Coker-Odusote acknowledged the challenges citizens had faced in the past, expressing appreciation for their patience during the process. She emphasized that NIMC’s dedicated teams worked tirelessly to process the backlogs, and the commission will continue its efforts to ensure a streamlined experience for citizens obtaining their NINs.

Coker-Odusote also outlined NIMC’s commitment to enhancing communication channels, with plans to establish a robust system for logging complaints and resolving issues promptly.
