The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has successfully airlifted over 1,600 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
The latest batch of 515 pilgrims departed on Sunday via Max Air, the official carrier for Kaduna pilgrims.
Yunusa Muhammad, the Public Relations Officer of the agency, announced in a statement that this brings the total number of pilgrims transported from the state to 1,612.
He added that the intending pilgrims scheduled for the fourth flight are currently undergoing screening at the Hajj transit camp in Mando, Kaduna, and are set to depart today.
