The Katsina State Hisbah Board has arrested a woman in the Dutsinma area of the state for allegedly selling cannabis.
The arrest was disclosed in a statement issued by the Publicity Officer of the Dutsinma Hisbah Division, C. I. H. Byareema.
According to the statement, the woman was arrested on Saturday, September 12, 2026, by Hisbah operatives acting on intelligence received by the division.
The operation was carried out under the command of the Dutsinma Hisbah Commander, Malam Shafi’u Ibrahim.
The statement said the woman, during questioning, allegedly disclosed that her husband’s younger brother supplied the cannabis, which she sold to raise money to buy food.
The Hisbah Board said investigation into the matter was ongoing and that appropriate action would be taken based on its findings.
