President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially approved the confirmation of Adewale Adeniyi as the substantive Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service.
This announcement was made by Willie Bassey, the Director of Information at the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, in a statement released on Friday.
According to the statement, Adeniyi’s appointment is effective from the 19th of October 2023, and it aligns with the existing provisions of the Public Service Rules (PSR).
President Tinubu has urged the newly appointed Comptroller-General to utilize his wealth of experience in carrying out his new responsibilities.
It’s worth noting that Adewale Adeniyi was initially appointed as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service in June, replacing the former CG, Hammed Ali. This confirmation solidifies his position as the head of the organization, and he is expected to lead the Nigeria Customs Service in fulfilling its duties and responsibilities effectively.
