Federal Prosecutor: FBI and Delaware U.S. Attorney Showed “Reluctance” in Investigating Biden Ukraine Allegations

Date:

Former Pittsburgh U.S. Attorney Scott Brady testified before the House Judiciary Committee that his team had found enough credible evidence in its initial review of Hunter Biden’s dealings with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings and possible corruption by Joe Biden to refer criminal matters to three separate U.S. Attorney’s offices.

However, Brady alleged that he encountered significant reluctance and foot-dragging from both the FBI and the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s office, which took over the case.

Brady stated that there was a lack of cooperation and that the FBI showed reluctance in investigating allegations of Ukrainian corruption and any connections with Hunter Biden. He suggested that the sensitivity of the case, particularly during the 2020 election cycle, played a role in the FBI’s behavior. Brady also contradicted claims that his office did not find the FD-1023 informant report credible and shut down the inquiry, stating that this was not true.

This testimony comes in the context of ongoing scrutiny of the Biden family’s dealings in Ukraine and allegations of corruption.
