Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has advised Reiss Nelson to consider leaving the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Ljungberg expressed his belief that Nelson isn’t receiving enough playing time at Arsenal, leading to his struggles to establish himself in the team.
Nelson, who returned from a loan spell at Feyenoord in the summer of 2022, has found it difficult to secure regular minutes on the pitch. Despite his talent, he is currently behind players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s pecking order.
During a recent interview with Premier League Productions, Ljungberg highlighted the importance of Nelson finding consistent playing time to advance his career. He pointed out that while Arsenal has retained players like Saka and Martinelli, Nelson hasn’t been given the same opportunities.
Ljungberg’s comments suggest that Nelson may need to seek a move away from Arsenal in order to fulfill his potential and secure regular playing time elsewhere.
