Arsenal is reportedly exploring the possibility of a swap deal involving 24-year-old Victor Osimhen and Gabriel Jesus, with the two players potentially switching clubs next summer.
According to a report in Fichajes, Arsenal is prepared to use Gabriel Jesus as part of the negotiation to persuade Napoli to release Victor Osimhen in the upcoming transfer window.
The North London club in the Premier League sees the Nigerian international, Osimhen, as an ideal striker for manager Mikel Arteta’s system and is keen on arranging a swap deal.
Napoli is aware of Arsenal’s intentions and is also scouting for potential replacements in case Osimhen departs from the Serie A champions.
However, Napoli is expected to demand a transfer fee in addition to Gabriel Jesus in any potential exchange.
It’s worth noting that Napoli was not inclined to sell Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window, despite interest from clubs like Chelsea, PSG, and Al Hilal.
The Serie A giants had set a price tag of €200 million for Osimhen and turned down a similar offer from the Saudi Pro League.
