Ekiti State Governor Postpones Government Events in Honor of Late APC Chairman

Date:

In honor of the late chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Paul Omotosho, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has issued a directive to postpone all government events and ceremonies scheduled for this week.

The decision affects several planned activities, including the flag-off ceremony for the Okeyinmi Flyover Bridge in Ado Ekiti and the celebration of International Women’s Day, organized by the Office of the First Lady and the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

Originally set for Friday, the flag-off ceremony for the Okeyinmi Flyover Bridge has been postponed, along with the International Women’s Day celebration initially planned at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion. New dates for these events will be communicated in due course, according to a statement by the Special Adviser, Media to the Governor, Olayinka Oyebode.

The late Mr. Omotosho, born on April 4, 1964, had held various positions of responsibility in Ekiti State, including Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Commissioner for Special Duties, and Commissioner for Local Government Affairs. His passing has led to a temporary pause in government activities as a mark of respect for his contributions and legacy.
