Renowned political commentator and leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a warning to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidates in Kaduna and Nasarawa States, urging them to remain vigilant.
His warning comes in light of reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is working to challenge the tribunal judgments that declared the PDP candidates as winners in the said states.
The warning is particularly relevant as the APC appears to be making desperate efforts to reverse the tribunal’s decisions in its favor. Primate Ayodele called on the PDP candidates to closely monitor these cases and seek divine intervention for victory.
He stated, “APC in Nasarawa is working seriously to overturn the tribunal judgment in their favor, and they are very desperate. PDP must follow them closely and seek divine guidance to secure victory. They should not relax until victory is achieved.”
Primate Ayodele also highlighted the situation in Kano, where the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate seems to be inactive, making the APC a potential winner. He urged the NNPP candidate to be more proactive to prevent an APC victory.
Furthermore, Primate Ayodele stressed the importance of upholding the rule of law and justice in the electoral process. He warned that failure to ensure justice could lead to dire consequences and make the state “ungovernable.”
The tribunal judgments in Nasarawa and Kaduna have been a subject of contention, with the outcome affecting the governance of these states. Primate Ayodele’s warning underscores the need for candidates and political parties to remain vigilant and engaged in the legal process to secure justice and prevent potential unrest.
