The Katsina Police Command successfully thwarted a suspected kidnap attempt in Gogalo village, Jibia local government area.
The armed bandits, wielding AK-47 rifles, attacked the village and kidnapped three individuals.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Jibia quickly mobilized a search and rescue team, which engaged the suspected kidnappers in a gun duel.
The operation led to the successful rescue of all the kidnapped victims, who were unharmed.
The police are now working to apprehend the fleeing suspects as the investigation continues.
