Federal Ministry of Communications Partners with IHS Nigeria for 3MTT Learning Community Initiative

The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy has announced a significant three-year partnership with IHS Nigeria to establish the 3MTT Learning Community as part of the recently launched Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Initiative.

This initiative aims to empower Nigerians with essential digital skills and strengthen local innovation ecosystems across the nation.

Under the partnership, learning communities will be established in all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, allowing 3MTT participants to gather weekly, collaborate, learn, and work on projects. IHS Nigeria is providing financial support, industry expertise, and will pay the salaries of 37 dedicated learning community managers. They will also provide access to a learning platform to support talent development efforts.

Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy, expressed his excitement about the partnership and highlighted the significance of collaboration between the public and private sectors for national digital transformation. He believes that this partnership will contribute to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda objectives.

The 3MTT Learning Community will use dedicated training spaces in each state to equip participants with comprehensive digital skills needed for the current and future digital workforce. These communities will foster active engagement, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation among participants and community managers.

Mohamad Darwish, CEO of IHS Nigeria, expressed his company’s commitment to contributing to Nigeria’s economic empowerment and growth through this partnership. They share the government’s dedication to job creation and technical skill enhancement, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s agenda.
