A Cameroonian pastor has ignited controversy by advising his congregants and Christians in general to donate their January salary to the church every year.
The pastor boldly asserted that such an act would attract more blessings and protect individuals from the attacks of the enemy and other unfortunate incidents.
This statement has elicited strong reactions from netizens, with many expressing disagreement with the pastor’s directive.
This comes in the wake of similar controversial statements made by other pastors, including Pastor Anosike, who claimed that congregants’ January salary belongs to him personally, not to God or the individuals themselves.
Meanwhile, Pastor David Oyedepo has criticized the notion of serving God with the expectation of monetary benefits, emphasizing the importance of genuine service to God without financial incentives.
