The Nigerian Army has cooperated with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Bauchi to apprehend and turn over two individuals suspected of drug trafficking.
These suspects were in possession of a significant quantity of cannabis sativa, concealed within a pickup truck with Lagos license plates.
The cannabis sativa was cleverly hidden within four bags and camouflaged using soft drink packaging. Additional items seized from the suspects include four mobile phones, five ATM cards, a driver’s license, two padlocks, and ₦13,550 in cash.
The suspects were apprehended in Ringin Gani village in Bauchi state and have been handed over to the NDLEA for further investigation.
The Nigerian Army has also encouraged the NDLEA officials to provide feedback on their findings, ensuring proper record-keeping. This collaborative effort demonstrates the commitment of both organizations in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking and abuse.
