Skit Maker Brain Jotter Reveals Transition from Crossdressing to Mainstream Comedy

Date:

Popular skit maker Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, better known as Brain Jotter, has opened up about his journey in the comedy industry, shedding light on his decision to transition from crossdressing to mainstream comedy.

In a recent appearance on Channels TV’s programme, Rubbin’ Minds, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Brain Jotter revealed that he initially started making skits in the character of Madam Ogadi, a crossdressing persona.

However, he later opted to switch characters due to the lack of sustainability in crossdressing comedy.

According to Brain Jotter, he made the decision to abandon crossdressing after realizing that it may not be a viable long-term career option unless executed exceptionally well.

He explained, “There was a time I was creating content with the character Madam Ogadi in a church and the audience were applauding my performances. So it got to my head and it was almost a niche for me. But then I realised that cross-dressing is not sustainable for me.”

Highlighting the challenges of maintaining a crossdressing persona, Brain Jotter emphasized, “You can’t be wearing a woman’s clothes with beards.”

Despite his departure from crossdressing, Brain Jotter shared his excitement about venturing into other creative endeavors. He revealed that he is making inroads into Nollywood and hinted at the release of some of his movies this year.

Additionally, he mentioned that he has already ventured into music, indicating a diverse range of interests and talents beyond comedy.

Overall, Brain Jotter’s journey serves as a testament to the evolution and adaptability required in the entertainment industry, showcasing his willingness to explore new avenues while staying true to his comedic roots.
