Grammy-winning South African singer Tyla recently shared her dating preferences, revealing that she would rather be with a man who enjoys playing video games than one who frequents nightclubs.
In an interview with Power 96.5 FM in Miami, Tyla expressed her preference for a partner who stays home and plays video games, emphasizing her dislike for club-goers.
When asked about her relationship status, Tyla explained that she is currently single because she is fully focused on her music career.
When presented with the choice between a boyfriend who plays video games and one who goes to clubs, Tyla firmly chose the former, stating that she appreciates the company of someone who enjoys staying home.
Tyla’s remarks come amidst her recent Grammy win for her song ‘Water.’ However, controversy arose during the award announcement when Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s song ‘Water No Get Enemy’ was played instead of Tyla’s winning track.
This mishap led to criticism of the organizers for overshadowing the significance of the award and disrespecting Fela’s musical legacy.
