Nigerian comedian Agozi Comedy has issued a public apology to fellow comedian AY Makun after making serious allegations against him on Facebook.
The apology comes after Agozi accused AY of having an affair with Yul Edochie’s wife, May, leading to marital issues.
In a Facebook post, Agozi claimed that AY’s actions caused the separation of Yul Edochie and his wife, alleging that AY had an affair with May.
He even went as far as suggesting that AY’s second daughter is not biologically his and implied that AY’s security officer’s wife had been having affairs.
However, in a recent turn of events, Agozi publicly apologized to AY, admitting that his accusations were false and made solely to gain influence on social media.
He revealed that he exploited AY’s name to increase views and engagement on his Facebook profile, which he monetizes for profit.
Agozi clarified that there is no truth to the allegations and asked for forgiveness from AY.
He also stated that AY is the biological father of his second child and that there is no relationship between AY and May.
AY Makun responded to Agozi’s accusations by calling them “false, untrue, and baseless.”
He demanded immediate investigation and apprehension of Agozi by the state police command for defamation, cyberstalking, and cyberbullying.
This public apology from Agozi marks a significant development in the ongoing controversy, with AY Makun’s legal counsel likely to review the situation following Agozi’s retraction of the allegations.
